Beyond the Classroom is the Shepherds Watch young-adult transition pathway for participants age 17 and above. It is separate from The Classroom and expands support into real-world mentorship, career exposure, education, internships, sponsorship opportunities, community-based organizations, businesses, and stability resources.
Mentorship can connect participants with professionals, community leaders, entrepreneurs, educators, and experienced adults who can provide guidance, accountability, advocacy, exposure, and relationship-based support.
Support around goals, accountability, decision-making, confidence, and the transition into adulthood.
Exposure to industries, professions, business ownership, workplace expectations, and professional networks.
Connections with trusted organizations and leaders who can provide resources, referrals, service opportunities, and continued support.

Sponsorship opportunities can help remove barriers by connecting participants with businesses, institutions, community leaders, and supporters who can contribute resources, tools, training, introductions, or other advancement opportunities.
Businesses, nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, workforce programs, service providers, and professional mentors can all become part of the opportunity network.
